O’Neil Welch Jeweller

About

O’Neil is a textile artist and jeweller. As a boy in Bequa in the Grenadines St Vincent he could see that his mother never had a lot for him and his siblings. So he thought to himself that if he learned how to make things after school he could make some money. And so he apprenticed as a tailor and pattern maker. Nobody could ever make as fine or as even a stitch as he could! When he was young, as soon as he could travel, he came to Canada from the Grenadines via Florida in the United States. While he always worked at his craft, jewellery making inspired him to create beautiful necklaces and other pieces with the limited materials he found at hand.

O’Neil was a Home + House 2022: More Than Anything project artist
